Purpose

The Cabin / Interior Program Manager is responsible for managing aircraft cabin interior completion and refurbishment programs from contract execution through delivery and post-completion support. This role serves as the primary liaison between the customer and internal teams, ensuring alignment across design, engineering, production, and certification activities. The Program Manager drives schedule, scope, budget, and risk management to deliver high-quality, on-time results that meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.


Essential Job Functions

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned cabin interior programs from aircraft induction through delivery and post-program support.
  • Develop, manage, and execute program plans, schedules, and budgets in alignment with contractual commitments.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including design, engineering, cabin systems, production, quality, and supply chain.
  • Ensure accurate translation of customer requirements, design intent, and technical specifications into executable work scopes.
  • Monitor program performance against schedule, budget, and quality metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage program scope, change orders, and contract compliance in coordination with contracts, finance, and engineering teams.
  • Lead internal and customer-facing meetings to communicate program status, risks, and key milestones.
  • Support aircraft onboarding and customer engagement during on-site visits and program execution.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to schedule, technical execution, supply chain, and resources.
  • Coordinate with certification and quality teams to ensure compliance with FAA/EASA regulations and documentation requirements.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to schedule adherence, cost performance, and program health.
  • Facilitate issue resolution across departments to maintain program momentum and delivery timelines.
  • Support final delivery activities, customer acceptance, and post-program reviews.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure program success.


Minimum Qualifications or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Aviation Management, or related field required.
  • 5–8 years of experience in aviation, aerospace, or project/program management roles.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects with complex deliverables and customer-facing responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of program scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.


Preferred Qualifications or Experience

  • Experience with VIP/VVIP aircraft completions or refurbishment programs (Boeing BBJ, Airbus ACJ, Gulfstream).
  • Familiarity with cabin interior design, engineering, and systems integration.
  • Knowledge of FAA/EASA certification processes and regulatory requirements.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project/program management credentials.
  • Experience with ERP systems and project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, Excel, BI tools).


Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but provides leadership and coordination across cross-functional teams and program stakeholders.

  • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Knowledge of aviation interiors, materials, systems, and completion processes is highly desirable.


Travel

Moderate travel may be required to support customer meetings, aircraft inductions, vendor coordination, or delivery activities.
