Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on various vehicle systems using automotive diagnostic tools and schematics to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on engines, including diesel engine repair and automotive engine system repairs, ensuring all work meets manufacturer standards.
- Service vehicle components such as the powertrain, electrical systems, suspension, brakes, and alignment to restore optimal operation.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively and efficiently.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques to complete repairs safely and precisely.
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, maintenance procedures, and diagnostic results for each vehicle serviced.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an auto technician or mechanic with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, electrical wiring, and vehicle maintenance.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and ability to interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Experience repairing diesel engines and working with automotive engine technology is highly desirable.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools safely.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks required for vehicle maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
