Responsibilities of a Diesel Technician entail:
- Perform thorough diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and other medium-duty and heavy-duty vehicle components.
- Conduct preventative maintenance according to manufacturer recommendations and company standards, ensuring optimal vehicle performance and longevity.
- Complete accurate and detailed documentation of work performed, including service records, parts used, and labor hours.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols in the work environment, maintaining a clean workspace and properly utilizing tools and equipment.
- Complete online training courses and attend instructor-led classes to advance your career.
- Collaborate with the service team to provide exceptional customer service and prioritize the timely completion of repairs.

Requirements
Requirements to become a Diesel Technician at CIT Trucks, LLC include:
- Preventive maintenance experience required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School diploma or GED required
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and DOT medical card
- Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 120 pounds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail
