Job Description – AI Scrum Master

Location:- Pittsburg, PA

Experience Required

8 Years (3 years in AI/GenAI-enabled Agile environments preferred)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AI Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery for AI and Generative AI initiatives while leveraging AI-powered tools to optimize Scrum ceremonies, sprint execution, and team productivity. The ideal candidate will combine strong Scrum Master expertise with knowledge of AI/ML development lifecycles, Large Language Models (LLMs), and modern Agile delivery practices.

This role requires close collaboration with Product Owners, AI Engineers, Data Scientists, ML Engineers, Software Developers, and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of AI-driven products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

· Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.

· Coach Agile teams on Scrum principles, Agile best practices, and continuous improvement.

· Drive delivery of AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI projects.

· Monitor sprint progress, team velocity, burndown charts, and key Agile metrics.

· Identify and remove impediments affecting team productivity.

· Collaborate with Product Owners to maintain a healthy, prioritized product backlog.

· Coordinate cross-functional teams including AI Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and QA teams.

· Utilize AI-powered Agile tools to automate sprint reporting, stand-up summaries, backlog refinement, and retrospective insights.

· Track project risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans.

· Ensure timely delivery while maintaining quality standards.

· Support release planning and roadmap execution.

· Facilitate stakeholder communication and provide executive-level project status reports.

· Promote Agile maturity and continuous process improvement across teams.

· Help define Agile governance for AI product development and MLOps initiatives.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

· 8 years of IT experience.

· 5 years as a Scrum Master leading Agile software development teams.

· Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I/II, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent).

· Experience delivering AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or Generative AI projects.

· Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Lean methodologies.

· Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar Agile management tools.

· Strong knowledge of sprint planning, backlog grooming, release planning, and Agile metrics.

· Excellent facilitation, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience working with Generative AI and LLM-based applications.

· Understanding of AI development lifecycles and MLOps.

· Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, vector databases, and AI agents.

· Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

· Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.

· Experience supporting distributed and global Agile teams.

· SAFe, PMI-ACP, or Agile Coaching certification is a plus.

· Exposure to AI model evaluation, prompt engineering, and AI solution delivery frameworks.
