This role is responsible for conducting deep pre-engagement prospect research, identifying potential customers, generating new business opportunities, and managing sales-qualified leads (SQL) from acquisition through pass-off to Account Executives (AE). This role works in coordination with AEs, Sales & Marketing leadership, and CX to ensure steady, ongoing pipeline engagement and to help ensure Company growth goals are met.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Daily deep prospect research (understands entry title and supporting titles, prospect work history, where they consume content/ads, etc.) using tools like Seamless.ai, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Google, ChatGPT, etc.
- Identifies potential customers and generate new SQLs
- Contacts (via email, LinkedIn, phone, etc.) and qualify potential customers
- Sets appointments for AEs and follow up on multi-threaded prospect conversions
- Understands when an opportunity should jump the iterative process and be passed to an AE immediately
- Tracks progress towards meeting BDR, Sales, & Marketing goals
- Collaborates with AEs and the sales team to develop strategies for reaching sales targets
- Uses Outreach.io, Salesforce.com, Seamless.ai, and other tools to help acquire, manage, and close leads as well as conduct other sales activities
- Stays up-to-date on market trends, competition, and industry developments
- Speaks to regular reports on prospecting & sales activities to management
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-3 years of experience in an BDR or similar sales role
- Proficiency in using tools like SFDC, LinkedIn, Seamless.ai to prospect
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain multi-threaded relationships with many potential clients
- Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability to change
