Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Office Installer role based in Pittsburgh, PA. The Office Installer will be responsible for unloading, assembling, installing, and reconfiguring office furniture systems, case goods, partitions, and seating according to layout plans and manufacturer specifications. Daily tasks include reading and interpreting CAD drawings and installation instructions, safely handling and moving furniture and materials, and using hand and power tools to complete precise, secure installations. The role involves assisting with receiving, staging, and preparing product in the warehouse, inspecting items for damage, and coordinating with project managers and team members to meet project timelines. The Office Installer will also support site clean-up, basic maintenance of tools and equipment, adherence to safety procedures, and professional interaction with customers while on job sites.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret floor plans, CAD drawings, and manufacturer installation instructions, with strong spatial awareness and attention to detail.
- Hands-on skills using common hand and power tools (e.g., drills, drivers, levels, saws) and comfort working with office furniture, partitions, and seating systems.
- Capability to perform physical work, including lifting and moving heavy items, standing for extended periods, and working on ladders or in tight spaces in a safe manner.
- Basic understanding of warehouse, delivery, and installation workflows, including receiving, inventory handling, staging, and on-site setup.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills, with a professional, respectful approach on client sites.
- Reliable, punctual, and organized, with the ability to follow directions, adapt to changing priorities, and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
