Porter

We are currently looking for a Porter at our Heritage Village at Manalapan location.

The Porter is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness and physical appearance of the property to ensure preservation and value. The Porter will maintain courteous and continuous communication with staff and residents in a respectful and professional manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Remove trash and debris from community grounds
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms
• Clean exterior and interior glass doors, mirrors, and windows
• Clean, mop, wash, buff, and vacuum floors and carpet
• Empty trash, remove recycling materials and maintain cleanliness of trash room
• Maintain laundry room cleanliness
• Clean, polish, dust fixtures and furniture
• Remove recycling materials
• Inform Superintendent in a timely fashion about necessary maintenance supplies
• Clean vacant apartments in preparation for being occupied
• Assist Superintendent as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Ability to communicate and work with various levels of management and personalities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to tactfully and diplomatically interact with residents
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent customer service and friendly demeanor
• Necessary tools to perform general maintenance
• Flexibility to switch gears at a moment’s notice
• Ability to lift 30 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
