What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Aquatics Specialist and Coordinator position at CIS International?
CIS International is a Livestock Breeder, Wholesale Importer & Distributor of Fresh & Salt Water Live Tropical Fish, Aquatic Wood, Aquatic Plants, Live Rock & any many ornamental fish accessories. We have been in business since 1991 were we started off as a small company supplying local vendors in Jacksonville, Florida but now have growth to supply both local vendor and national wide retail pet stores.
We are looking to add a qualified Inventory Aquatics Specialist and Coordinator that is primarily responsible for maintaining and auditing inventory accuracy, which includes providing inventory information, maintenance of the shelf-life control system, investigation of discrepancies, and reporting findings to the management team.
Responsibilities
- Conducting daily cycle counts and investigate discrepancies.
- Enter all received inventory into the data base
- Create new part numbers for new items/products received
- Create assembly inventory for finished materials/parts
- Organize & maintain inventory in warehouse, office and freezers with help from Shipping and Receiving Department
- Assigns product location to all incoming items
- Communicate with Scheduling/Planning in any potential shortages on material and consumables
- Communicate with Purchasing in any potential shortages on office supplies
- Maintain inventory for employee tools and equipment
- Keep customer informed of their (CFM) Inventory
- Assist Shipping and Receiving, and Preventive Maintenance departments when needed
- Miscellaneous tasks assigned by management
Requirement/Qualification (Included but not limited to)
- Must have strong knowledge with Microsoft (Word, Excel and Access)
- Highly energetic and detail oriented
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organization, attention to detail and accuracy
- Understand and adhere to all environmental health and safety guidelines including all safety policies and posted signs
- Reliable, strong work ethic, long-term career minded individual
- Proactive and hard-working
- Ability to multi-task and maintain a safe work environment
- Be able to lift assemblies weighing up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time
Job Type: Full-time
