Position Summary
The Production Planner I position is responsible for planning and prioritizing operations schedules. The position uses ERP data to create and place orders required for on time production. The production planner I also partners with the purchasing and operations teams to maintain on time production.

Position Summary
The Production Planner I position is responsible for planning and prioritizing operations schedules. The position uses ERP data to create and place orders required for on time production. The production planner I also partners with the purchasing and operations teams to maintain on time production.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate workflow on assigned items or products
- Utilize MRP and system data to meet customer demand
- Ensure material availability for prior to releasing items to production
- Monitor jobs to ensure on-time completion
- Address issues that may prevent on time delivery
- Monitor production status and take action to eliminate obstacles that impede on-time delivery of product
- Monitor metrics such as on time delivery, lead time, and stock-outs
- Ensure accurate system data
- Recommend and implement process improvements
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with the site’s Quality Management System (QMS)
- Collaborate with quality, purchasing, operations, and engineering as needed
- Prepare performance reports
- Comply with company, quality, and safety standards, policies, and procedures
Must Have
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated initiative and track record of improving manufacturing processes
- Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English
- Proficient skills in MS Office Suite, Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and formulas
- Excellent organizational skills and strong communication skills
- Working experience with manufacturing software
- Previous experience using ERP systems
- Experience in an ISO or FDA regulated industry
- Experience in a high mix manufacturing environment
