What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tooling Technician 1 - Weekend Shift position at Cirrus?
Job Summary
The tooling technician’s main role will be to perform maintenance on production tooling. This will include inspecting the diameter of bushings and replacing, if necessary, mold buffing/taping, mold repair (metal and composite), and replacing casters. Other tasks might include troubleshooting mechanical systems, creating specialty tooling, and fixing broken production equipment. Wears proper protective equipment during appropriate job functions. Complies with all paperwork, such as work instructions, that govern job duties.
Schedule: Friday - Sunday, 5am - 5:30pm. OT as required.

- Please note, a 12% differential will be added to this position.
- Good dexterity
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and how they work
- Mechanical Experience
- Know how to use hand tools
- Be able to read an engineering drawing
- Basic computer skills
- Be able to work independently with general supervision
- Good attention to detail
- Basic Welding skills (MIG)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Three plus years relevant work experience required
