Duties
- Design circuit boards to demonstrate the use and capabilities of integrated circuit products; provide technical expertise through customer presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products; support sales staff in assessing potential application of company integrated circuit products to meet customer needs and prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer applications/solutions; build mini-applications based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client; provide software development and consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation; ensure the product application/solution is functioning according to specifications; provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications.
- Master of Science in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering, or a closely related field plus three years of experience. Alternatively, a Bachelor of Science in one of the foregoing fields plus five years of experience. In all cases, experience must include: three years of experience with integrated DC-to-DC switching buck or boost converters and mixedsignal circuits for portable or power electronic products; three years of experience in component selection, schematic entry and knowledge of PCB layout design; one year of experience with scripting or programming languages such as MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, or similar; and three years of experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, audio analyzers, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers. All experience may be earned concurrently. In addition, the position requires system understanding of various industry interface standards such as I2C, SPI, USB, UART, I2S, SPMI and other high-speed control/data bus examples sufficient to debug, analyze and work with complex integrated circuits.
