Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented 40-Hour Medication Aide and/or Care Aide to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, assisted living environments, with experience in medication administration. This role involves providing essential support to residents by administering medications, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring a safe, respectful environment that promotes dignity and well-being. Non medication aides will be considered, if willing and able to be trained and certified. We offer fixed nine-hour schedules, four days a week. This ensures you have three days off, every week!
Duties
RESIDENT RELATIONS- Building sincere strengths based/asset focused relationships.
CLEANING/COOKING AND MAINTENANCE- Verbal reminders to residents to ensure their daily living activities are completed, maintaining a healthy, clean safe home-like environment.
DOCUMENTATION- of daily activities/interactions with residents, communicating with staff on other shifts and medication administration/documentation.
JOB DESCRIPTIONS/QUALIFICATIONS: One year experience with individuals who have special needs, preferably experience with mental illness. Ability to create and enhance a warm, friendly community living environment. Ability to prepare and cook meals for up to 23 people as well as clean up after the meal is over.
Ability to bend stoop, lift to perform duties necessary to complete required job duties. Follow the policy and procedures of the facility and food code guidelines established by the State of Nebraska Assisted Living Facilities. Medication Aide certified or ability to become medication Aide certified.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Medication Aide (40-hour training) or equivalent qualification required; prior caregiving experience preferred.
- Must have a valid drivers license, clean driving record.
- Must pass a criminal background check, NDHHS background check and drug test.
- Experience working in assisted living facilities or home care environments
- Excellent communication skills coupled with compassionate caregiving abilities to support residents’ emotional well-being.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour
