Come join us! Cirris Inc, a leading manufacturer of electrical cable and harness test equipment, has an immediate opening for an Application Support Technician. This position supports mission‑critical manufacturing and test applications used in an OEM environment. This role ensures application reliability, product quality, and customer satisfaction by providing technical support, coordinating with engineering and production teams, and supporting testing, validation, and quality assurance activities throughout the product lifecycle.

major duties and responsibilities:

  • Answering calls and emails from customers promptly.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues and providing timely feedback through various means of communication (phone, email, or chat) until customer issues are resolved.
  • Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers.
  • Coordinate with the design and development teams to resolve complex application and system issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify the reasons for the underlying issue.
  • Prepare recommendations for testing and documentation of procedures to be used from the product design phase through to initial production.
  • Plan and execute strategies and configuration changes to ensure optimal quality assurance for all applications.
  • Review test equipment designs, data and RMA issues with customers regularly.
  • Coordinate engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices required to test, record, and reduce test data.
  • Determine conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations.
  • Direct and exercise control over operational, functional, and performance phases of tests.
  • Perform moderately complex assignments of the engineering test function for standard and/or custom devices.
  • Analyze and interpret test data and prepare technical reports for use by test engineering and management personnel.
  • Coordinate with the development team to administer code migrations across various environments.
  • Monitor all alerts related to application and provide proactive services.
  • Perform semi-routine technique development and maintenance, subject to established
    Cirris standards, including ISO and AS9100 standards.
  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
  • Comply and follow all procedures within the company policy.

 

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Electronics or Electrical Engineering from four-year college or university preferred; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Travel:

Occasional travel may be necessary. 

Position Requirements:

  • Application troubleshooting – Diagnosing and resolving software issues using logs, error reports, and monitoring tools.
  • Technical support – Providing assistance for both internal teams and external clients, often under pressure.
  • SQL and database knowledge – Writing queries, analyzing data, and understanding relational databases.
  • Incident management – Handling service disruptions efficiently and documenting resolutions.
  • Customer service – Communicating clearly and empathetically with users of varying technical background

physical Requirements:

  • Physical demands: Regularly lift 50 pounds and use of hand and wrists when typing information on keyboard.  Must be able to twist, reach overhead, crawl, stoop, and bend to the floor.  Occasionally lift 50 pounds.
  • Visual accommodation: Must be able to read written materials and instructions to communicate with co-workers and customers.
  • Hearing accommodation: Must be able to make and receive phone calls.
  • Working conditions: Employee works in a clean environment with little exposure to fumes and dust.   Work may occasionally be performed in a manufacturing type environment.

Salary : $40,000 - $55,000
