POSITION SUMMARY
As the Product Line Manager – Configurations and Pricing you will lead efforts to build standardized configurations of Cirrascale services for customer segments. You will work closely with our sales organization and peer product managers to define bills of material consisting of different Cirrascale offerings, built to a specific customer-ready offering This role will bring a meaningful impact to the company in developing faster time-to-market solutions and ease repeatability for customer deployments. This will span hardware, software, operational and managed services, with data gathered cross-teams on the operational and technical areas to develop these offerings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Product Line Manager – Configurations and Pricing, will be responsible for the product configurations and SKU’s for Cirrascale offerings. Managing these offerings for both customer-facing configurations and internal, operational facing aspects customers don’t see.
- You’ll develop and maintain configuration and cost models, ensuring accurate models that take into account operations requirements, and vendor/product configurations.
- Understanding end-to-end compute technologies and how they are deployed in datacenters along with all their dependent attributes
- Developing a SKU book of these configurations, working closely with sales operations and finance for pricing these offerings
- Coordinating with operational engineering teams to ensure accurate operation deployment needs are derived into bills of material for standard configurations.
- In conjunction with sales leadership and finance, you will support pricing-related projects by testing internal assumptions, analyzing current methods, and gathering data from various sources to validate market cost assumptions and assist the company in pricing for their offerings.
- Contribute to process improvement by creating and maintaining documentation, developing modelling templates (in Excel and other tools) for pricing requests, and identifying opportunities to enhance existing methods and tools.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5 years of product management at a distributor or reseller, understanding offerings and cost modelling for these offerings
- General understanding of compute technology offerings and basic understanding of data center concepts.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills that utilize real data to help make decisions.
- Cross-team collaboration and leadership and communication skills that work well
- with others.
- Completed successful products introductions, from concept to launch.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance or technical fields.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary range for the Product Line Manager – Configurations and Pricing is $125,000 to $165,000. This pay range reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay range for this job for the location for which it has been posted. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
