Director of Tax

What is this role? 

Cirkul is seeking a Director of Tax who is familiar with the taxation of public and private companies, and is capable of effectively communicating tax consequences of transactions to operating personnel. The person will interface with operating and financial personnel providing support regarding the federal, state and international tax consequences of business transactions and financial statement reporting requirements.

What does an average day look like? 

• Driving Results: Monitor, interpret and apply tax rules and regulations to ensure the company properly applies such rules. Compile, review and record the company’s income tax provision. 
• Taking Ownership: Manage the company’s income tax compliance including information gathering and reporting.
• Making Decisions: Leverage software applications enabling the organization to focus on analyzing data rather than gathering it.
• Cultivating Relationships: Communicate the tax consequences of business transactions and operating structures to owners, investors, and operating and financial personnel.
• Instilling Trust: Work with the F&A Organization to efficiently accumulate financial information that enables accurate tax reporting and decision making.
• Customer Focus: Supporting Cirkul as our tax advisor, continually seeking opportunities to add value and align activities with company goals. 

What background should you have? 

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Tax, or Finance
• 10 years of prior work experience in the tax field
• Competence with Microsoft Office software
