Role Overview
Cirkla is seeking a hands-on Plant Engineer to support the installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of production equipment at our new US molded fiber lamination facility. This role is central to keeping lamination lines, servo-driven equipment, pneumatic systems, and supporting electrical infrastructure running safely and reliably. The ideal candidate combines strong electrical fundamentals with practical experience wiring and troubleshooting industrial machinery, and is comfortable working to US electrical codes and standards.
What You’ll Do
- Support installation and commissioning of molded fiber lamination machines, servo drives, and associated production equipment.
- Work with contractors and equipment vendors during startup, ensuring installations meet design intent and code requirements.
- Support distribution design across plant panels, ensuring proper feeder sizing, breaker coordination, and grounding/bonding.
- Troubleshoot wiring faults, short circuits, and control loop issues down to the component level.
- Execute and help refine preventive maintenance programs for servo systems, pneumatics, and electrical panels.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on lamination machines, conveyors, and pneumatic/hydraulic control systems to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, checklists, and spare parts records for critical electrical components.
Who You Are
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electrical Technology, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- 5–8 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance, ideally in a manufacturing or packaging plant environment.
- Practical experience with machine installation, panel wiring, motor control circuits, and troubleshooting servo/PLC-driven equipment.
- Working knowledge of pneumatic control circuits as they interface with electrical controls.
- Good to have skills - Ability to read electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and ladder logic.
