Cirella's Restaurant and Bar is a small business in Melville, NY. We are professional and our goal is to provide excellent service at our local family owned Italian and Sushi restaurant .
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Host/Hostess to join our restaurant team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing reservations, and ensuring the overall dining experience runs smoothly. You will also be responsible for receiving takeout orders.
**Duties:**
- Greet and welcome guests, and provide menus and wine lists as needed.
- Manage reservations and seating assignments to ensure efficient table management.
- Assist guests with any requests or special needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized host area.
- Process payments and handle cash and credit transactions for takeout
- Utilize our POS system to accurately take orders and manage orders for delivery or takeout.
- Maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm throughout the shift.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
**Skills:**
- Proficiency in restaurant operations, including guest services and food service.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to handle customer complaints.
- Ability to help with various tasks and duties as needed.
- A positive and friendly attitude, with a focus on providing exceptional guest relations.
