Embedded Software Engineer | Los Angeles
Our client is a well-funded and rapidly growing NewSpace startup seeking experienced Embedded Software Engineers to join their team in Los Angeles.
In this role, you’ll work within a small, highly collaborative engineering group, contributing to the full product lifecycle for both commercial and defense space applications. You’ll have the opportunity to make a impact across the embedded software stack, with a core focus on bare-metal firmware development and low-level hardware interfaces.

Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong proficiency in C for embedded systems
- Experience developing firmware on microcontrollers (bare-metal or RTOS)
- Solid understanding of UART, I2C, SPI, and similar serial communication protocols
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills (e.g., JTAG/SWD, logic analyzers)
- Previous experience with safety-critical software (space, aerospace, automotive, medical) is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
Salary Range: $120k-$190k base depending on level hired, plus equity.
