Facility Technician

The Facility Technician III will serve as a general maintenance technician providing operation and general facilities support activities as directed by EHS. The technician will be tasked with general facility support actions similar in nature to removal and/or exchange of bins, fluids, chips, etc, assembling furniture, setting up meeting spaces, etc. The technician will support both internal and outside hired contract services group, providing required onsite technical guidance

Principal Activities

• Take instruction from the EHS and execute work orders
• Keep track of time against each work order and enter into system
• Utilize powered industrial equipment
• Dispose of Hazardous Material in accordance with OSHA standards
• Utilize a coolant refractometer to measure the percentages of coolant
• Empty shavings from machine operation
• Clean, oil, and perform light periodic maintenance on machines
• Paint using epoxy, oil, and latex based paints
• General facility maintenance such as custodial management
• Assembly of furniture, mounting of boards and TV’s, setting up meeting spaces
• All other duties and tasks as assigned by management
  
  

Candidate Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Basic Mechanical knowledge
• Experience with power tools a plus
• Willing to get forklift certification
• Ability to follow written directions for assembly
  
  

Education

• HS Diploma/GED or equivalent
