POSITION DETAILS
Principal Activities
- Perform all duties of a Material Handler I with minimal supervision
- Pick, stage, and deliver kits of materials per production schedule
- Execute transactions for material issues, returns, and transfers accurately
- Investigate and help resolve inventory discrepancies
- Assist with physical inventory and continuous improvement initiatives
- Read and interpret work orders, BOMs, and drawings for correct material identification
- Cross train and assist new team members in standard material handling processes
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- May be cross trained in shipping/receiving functions to assist personnel as needed
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Basic computer and data entry skills; familiarity with ERP systems, JDE preferred
- Strong attention to detail and dependability
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify issues and find effective solutions
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a focus on collective success
- Ability to lift 25lbs on a frequent basis and be able to work standing and walking most of the day
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must have good reading skills and basic math skills
- Must be able to walk up and down ladders with boxes 25 lbs
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent
Experience
- Minimum two years of experience in material handling or inventory control
