Company Overview
Circle T Transport and Construction is a small, locally owned company based in Williston ND. We service the Bakken oilfield and the western ND/eastern MT area in most transportation/logistic areas along with minor construction and equipment rental services as well.
Job Summary
We are looking for someone capable of running a side dump/belly dump or flatbed/step deck 60-70 hours a week. Help maintain and service the equipment and work in the shop on slow or rain weeks. Ability to run equipment or the ability to learn to load and unload yourself at times is a plus. On our slowest weeks we still work around 50 hours. Possibility of running a dump truck, hot shot, lowboy or equipment as well but this position will mainly be dirt wagon and flatbed to start.
Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission on and offroad in all weather sometimes oversize.
- Drive flatbeds, dump trucks, dirt wagons, lowboys, and other specialized vehicles as needed
- Load and unload freight using equipment such as forklifts, wheel loaders, excavators or manual methods, properly
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle condition and safety to keep the fleet in good shape and stay within federal and local laws.
- Plan efficient routes for timely deliveries, adjusting as necessary for traffic or weather conditions (Drive the truck)
- Properly fill oout a time card or paper log, along with job tickets and IFTA, and vehicle maintenance records
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickup and delivery schedules
Experience
- Minimum 6 months driving with 2 years preferred and atleast one ND winter preferred
- Familiarity with operating manual transmission trucks and various trailer types
- Ability to load & unload freight safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards
- Prior experience with tractor-trailer operations preferred but not mandatory for entry-level drivers willing to learn
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the equipment operated
This is a local position for someone who lives in the area. We do not work hitches, we do not provide housing, we can not hire you if you are out of state. If hired you will be expected to go to work as soon as your drug test is back. That means you need to be in the Williston area with your own housing before you take your drug test.
Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
