What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN - Nights Home Hospice position at Circle of Life Hospice?
This position will serve patients and families in NWA, Siloam Springs, and NE Oklahoma. We have a variety of shift configurations including nights, days, and weekends.
This position is paid straight time and will rotate covering after hours shifts with the other teammates. This person will support home hospice patients and families and work alongside an interdisciplinary team.
General Description: The RN is an integral part of the hospice interdisciplinary care team and as such is responsible for providing patient care visits, assessing medical needs, liaising with physicians, attending deaths, triage calls, and assisting with the admission process. The RN must have an understanding that hospice care must be delivered according to accepted standards of practice, guided by the mission of the organization and the patient/family's needs and concerns, the RN blends all services of the hospice into an integrated program of support. May be required to fulfill RN On Call duties as needed.
Requirements: Current unrestricted AR/OK Compact RN license, BLS certification, strong assessment skills with critical thinking and high level of problem solving within a healthcare facility. Strong documentation and communication with the ability to stay calm and cope with human suffering/emergencies. Prefer hospice experience, home health, or acute care nursing experience with computer charting experience.
Position requires use of personal vehicle, a valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
