Job Description – Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Position Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Part-Time
Location: Circle of Life Hospice Home - 565 Ann Drive - Stevens Point, WI
Reports To: Administrator / Registered Nurse (if applicable)
Position Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides compassionate, hands-on care and support to residents of our hospice adult family home in a safe, respectful, and home-like environment. The CNA assists residents with activities of daily living, comfort measures, and emotional support while working in close coordination with the hospice care team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance.
- Assist residents with eating and hydration, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are followed.
- Assist with meal prep during your shift
- Perform comfort and end-of-life care measures in collaboration with hospice agencies and our care team.
- Provide emotional support to residents and their families, demonstrating sensitivity, patience, and respect.
- Assist with medication reminders/administration per training and under direction of the nurse/administrator (if applicable to certification and policy).
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
- Report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition promptly to the supervising nurse or administrator.
- Support residents in maintaining dignity, independence, and personal preferences.
- Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a safe, clean environment.
- Participate in ongoing training, team meetings, and hospice care coordination.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Wisconsin.
- Previous experience in hospice, palliative care, or long-term care preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate, dignified care.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Physical ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents as needed.
- Must pass a criminal background check per Wisconsin DHS requirements.
Work Schedule
- Part-time; flexible shifts ( evening, overnight, or weekends based on resident needs).
- Availability to cover shifts as needed for resident care continuity.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay based on experience and certification - $16-$18 per hour
- Training provided in hospice and end-of-life care.
- Supportive, team-oriented work environment in a small group home setting.

Circle of Life is a licensed Adult Family Home specializing in hospice care. Serving up to four residents at a time, our staff specializes in end of life care, working closely with our local hospice providers to carry out a comfort plan of care. We are a new addition to the Stevens Point area, aiming to serve our community in a much needed service area. Our mission is to provide compassionate, person-centered end-of-life care in a warm, home-like environment, while supporting families with dignity and respect.
