Circle of Life is growing, and we have an opening for a Benefits and Leave Coordinator to join our corporate office in Shoreview. The Benefits and Leaves Coordinator is responsible for administering employee benefit programs and coordinating all aspects of employee leave administration.

Position Duties Include
- Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement, wellness, and voluntary benefits.
- Coordinate new hire benefit enrollment, qualifying life events, annual open enrollment, and benefit terminations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions regarding benefit plans, eligibility, enrollment, and claims.
- Maintain accurate benefit records within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and carrier systems.
- Process benefit changes and reconcile enrollment discrepancies with insurance carriers and payroll.
- Assist with benefit audits, reporting, and vendor invoicing.
- Support annual benefits renewal and open enrollment planning, including employee communications and educational materials.
- Coordinate and administer employee leaves of absence, including Family and Medical Leave (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodations, state leave programs, military leave, parental leave, personal leave, workers' compensation, and short- and long-term disability leaves, as applicable.
- Determine leave eligibility, provide required notices, track leave usage, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Communicate with employees, managers, healthcare providers, and third-party administrators throughout the leave process.
- Monitor return-to-work dates and coordinate fitness-for-duty documentation and workplace accommodations when appropriate.
- Maintain confidential medical and leave records in accordance with legal requirements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws related to benefits and leave administration.
- Maintain confidential employee information and HR records.
- Prepare reports and documentation for internal audits, regulatory compliance, and benefit plan administration.
- Stay current on changes to employment laws and benefit regulations.
Qualifications
Qualified applicants should have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in human resources, benefits & leave coordination or related role, excellent verbal communication skills, ability to take initiative, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and associates degree is preferred.

Salary : $56,000 - $75,000
