What You’ll Do

As a Director of Sales, you’ll:

  • Own the sales cycle, from prospecting to closing to long-term client management.
  • Develop and expand your portfolio by generating, nurturing, and converting leads into loyal customers.
  • Strategically grow revenue and margin by identifying opportunities and executing solutions.
  • Engage with decision-makers through cold calls, RFP responses, proposals, and client-facing presentations.
  • Leverage tools and data (CRM, spot quoting, market analysis) to drive results.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with branch leadership and corporate resources to align on growth strategies.
  • Mentor and influence teams by demonstrating strong leadership and a drive to win.

What It Takes To Succeed

  • Proven freight brokerage sales or account management experience.
  • A track record of closing and growing high-value accounts.
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, Google Drive, and Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, reporting).
  • The grit to thrive in a fast-moving environment — balancing multiple priorities with precision.
  • Willingness to go above and beyond (after hours or weekends when needed).
  • Leadership qualities — someone who can inspire both customers and colleagues.
