Environmental Compliance Support
- Collects, reviews, and maintains environmental compliance data from internal systems and external sources.
- Assists with tracking inspections, corrective actions, releases, and follow-up documentation.
- Supports timely processing of environmental notices and routine compliance items under direction of senior staff.
- Maintains organized and accurate environmental records in company systems.
- Coordinates with store operations, divisional teams, maintenance, and approved vendors to support inspections, repairs, and compliance activities.
- Assists in verifying that services, equipment, and documentation meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Supports responses to routine regulatory requests and inspections with guidance from senior team members.
- Helps ensure store-level environmental tasks are completed and properly documented.
- Supports administration and tracking of Class C Operator and other environmental training programs.
- Maintains training records to ensure compliance with state-specific deadlines.
- Assists with distribution of site-specific training materials in coordination with vendors and internal partners.
- Assists with basic trend and risk analysis related to environmental compliance.
- Prepares reports, summaries, and documentation for management review.
- Identifies recurring issues and escalates potential risks to senior team members.
- Builds working knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance programs, and Circle K operational standards.
- Participates in training and development opportunities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, business, operations, or a related field preferred.
- 0–2 years of related experience in environmental compliance, sustainability, operations, or administrative support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Internship, coursework, or exposure to environmental compliance, safety, sustainability, or regulatory programs.
- Retail, multi-site, or operational support experience.
- Environmental or safety training or certifications (e.g., Class C Operator, OSHA awareness) — not required at hire.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
- Ability to hear and speak via phone or virtual meetings.
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
- Office-based or hybrid work environment.
- Moderate noise level with standard office lighting.
- Position works with general supervision and increasing independence as experience develops.
