Duties
- Operate cash registers and POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions with precision while providing friendly customer service.
- Assist customers with food preparation, food handling, and managing their orders in a quick-service environment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the workspace, including sanitizing counters, equipment, and ensuring food safety standards are met.
- Support food industry operations by assisting with food service tasks like bussing tables or stocking shelves when needed.
- Upsell products and promote sales by engaging customers with friendly suggestions and product knowledge.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely when required and assist in basic food preparation or snack assembly.
Skills
- Previous experience in quick service restaurants, grocery stores, or retail sales is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process transactions smoothly.
- Strong math skills for processing cash transactions and giving accurate change.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Knowledge of food safety management, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with food preparation, culinary techniques, or kitchen operations is a plus.
