What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional (DSP) position at Circle Haven?
We are hiring one or two DSPs for a female client in Marlton Lakes, NJ
Client is looking for 6a-9a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday; as well as 3p-9p Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
Circle Haven, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing innovative opportunities and support services to adults with disabilities in South Jersey. Circle Haven is a new, but growing organization that will have opportunities for community-based supports, individual supports, professional growth, and future opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provides direct care to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities
2. Performs personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding and ambulation, medical monitoring and health care related tasks
3. Documents services provided. Keeps track of casework notes, daily activities, behavioral assessments
4. Maximizes independence in various life skills including nutrition, cooking, finance, community participation and social skills
5. Transport individuals, as appropriate, into community for outings or appointments
6. All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with physical limitations (using lifts/transfers)
- Strong written and visual communication skills
- Dependable in attendance and timeliness
- Ability to handle physical aspects of job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching and walking for periods of time
- Must have reliable transportation, clean driving record, and proof of car insurance
