Sign Maker & Installer -- Build Landmarks for a Living

Circle City Custom Signs is looking for a hands-on maker who takes pride in turning ideas, drawings, and raw materials into finished signs. You will work across the full process—production, fabrication, installation, CNC operation, and a small amount of Adobe Illustrator design.

What you will do

·     Fabricate custom signs. Cut, assemble, finish, and prepare a variety of sign products using hand tools, power tools, adhesives, fasteners, and shop equipment.

·     Operate CNC equipment. Set up and run CNC jobs, load materials, follow cut files, inspect output, and help keep the machine and work area production-ready.

·     Install with care. Support and complete on-site installations, including layout, mounting, leveling, hardware, cleanup, and final quality checks.

·     Prepare production artwork. Use Adobe Illustrator for basic layouts, vector cleanup, sizing, revisions, and production-ready files.

·     Follow the job from start to finish. Read work orders and drawings, confirm measurements, organize materials, and communicate issues before they become rework.

·     Protect quality and safety. Use equipment responsibly, maintain an orderly workspace, and make sure finished work meets the shop’s standards before it leaves the building.

What you bring

·     CNC experience. You have practical experience operating a CNC router or similar equipment and understand safe setup, material handling, and quality control.

·     Mechanical ability. You are comfortable measuring, drilling, cutting, assembling, troubleshooting, and learning new equipment.

·     Basic Adobe Illustrator skills. You can work with vector artwork and make straightforward production edits; advanced graphic design is not the focus of this role.

·     A craftsperson’s eye. You notice alignment, finish quality, fit, color, and the small details that separate acceptable work from excellent work.

·     A team-first work style. You are dependable, communicate clearly, manage changing priorities, and step in where the job needs you.

·     Installation readiness. You can safely perform active work, including standing, lifting and handling sign materials, climbing ladders, working at heights, and working indoors or outdoors.
