We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Preschool Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a safe, stimulating classroom environment that promotes early childhood education and development. Your energy and dedication will help lay the foundation for our young learners’ future success. Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing lesson plans focused on literacy, math, and overall curriculum development tailored to preschool-aged children
- Support classroom management by maintaining a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages social and emotional growth
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood education, including Montessori and toddler care techniques
- Help with classroom organization, including preparing materials and setting up learning stations for daily activities
- Support children with special needs or disabilities, including working with individuals with autism, to ensure inclusive participation
- Foster effective communication with children, parents, and team members to promote a collaborative learning environment
- Monitor and document individual progress, behavior management strategies, and developmental milestones
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with preschool-aged children in daycare or private school settings- VPK Experience Preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning for early learners
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or special needs, including autism spectrum disorders
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues
- Experience in behavior management techniques suitable for young children
- Additional qualifications such as special education training, Montessori certification, or experience working with toddlers are highly valued

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
