Join our property management team as a Community Manager in a contract-to-hire opportunity with strong potential to transition into a permanent leadership role.

This position requires the selected candidate to live on-site. As part of the compensation package, free on-site housing or generous housing discounts may be provided, offering significant added value and convenience.

The initial 90-day contract period allows both parties to evaluate fit and performance before transitioning to a long-term role.

Position Summary

The Community Manager is responsible for the overall operations, performance, and resident experience of the community. This role oversees leasing performance, resident relations, maintenance coordination, financial processes, and vendor management to ensure the property operates efficiently while maintaining a welcoming and well-managed environment.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, operational oversight, and problem-solving abilities while fostering a positive community culture for residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, vendors, and service providers
  • Oversee leasing operations, including applications, move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals
  • Ensure strong resident relations and customer service, addressing concerns and fostering a positive community environment
  • Manage rent collection, delinquency follow-up, and financial record accuracy
  • Coordinate maintenance requests and vendor services to ensure timely resolution
  • Maintain accurate property records and utilize property management software systems
  • Enforce community policies, lease agreements, and Fair Housing regulations
  • Plan and support community engagement initiatives and resident events
  • Work closely with ownership or leadership to achieve occupancy, operational, and financial goals

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in property management, leasing, or multifamily housing
  • Strong resident relations, customer service, and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience using property management software such as ResMan, Yardi, AppFolio, or similar platforms
  • Knowledge of lease agreements, community policies, and Fair Housing compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to manage property operations, vendors, and resident issues effectively
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Bilingual
  • Ability to work independently while leading and collaborating with a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field preferred
  • Experience in multifamily property management strongly preferred
