Position : Data Analytics Engineering Services for PostgreSQL & Python on AWS & Airflow
Location : Washington DC 20003 (Hybrid)
Duration : 1 year contract

Job Description:
DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE
The embedded Data Analytics Engineer will design, implement, and maintain automated ETL/ELT pipelines using Airflow, SQL, and Python. The Data Analytics Engineer will troubleshoot and optimize existing workflows for performance and reliability.

DATA WAREHOUSE AND INFRASTRUCTURE MAINTENANCE
The embedded Data Analytics Engineer will maintain client s existing cloud-based Data Warehouse and Mart in PostgreSQL on AWS. The Data Analytics Engineer with design and build modifications to client s Data Warehouse and Data Mart. The embedded Data Analytics Engineer will help Manage AWS services (RDS, S3, IAM) with emphasis on automation, security, and cost optimization.

DATA GOVERNANCE AND SECURITY
The embedded Data Analytics Engineer will ensure data integrity and quality through robust governance practices. The embedded Data Analytics Engineer will safeguard non-public and personally identifiable information (PII).

TEAM PROCESS & CONTRIBUTION
The embedded Data Analytics Engineer will write unit tests and contribute to CI/CD pipelines, conduct code reviews on peers merge requests, participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, contribute to the Data Team Handbook and uphold DC PCSB s values.

QAULIFICATIONS OF EMBEDDED DATA ANALYTICS ENGINEER

The embedded Data Analytics Engineer must have the following qualifications:

1. Minimum 2 years experience building ETL/ELT pipelines with SQL and Python.

2. Minimum 2 years experience with workflow orchestration in Airflow.

3. Familiarity with CI/CD and containerization using Docker.

4. Familiarity with AWS services (RDS, S3, IAM).
