Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate is responsible for managing and supervising the hotel’s accounting and tax activities, ensuring accurate financial records, regulatory compliance, and adherence to all fiscal deadlines. This role collaborates with external consultants and provides operational support to internal departments on accounting and administrative matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record journal entries, cash receipts, and payments
• Post accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions
• Reconcile bank balances and manage petty cash
• Prepare adjusting entries, accruals, and depreciation
• Monthly closing and preparation of trial balance (monthly and year-to-date)
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and assist in statutory financial statement preparation
• Import/export XML files (daily sales, revenue, and customer data)
• Manage Split Payment, reverse charge, and supplier declarations of intent
• Handle rejected invoices and submit corrections via the Revenue Agency’s SDI platform
• Prepare monthly VAT returns, quarterly VAT communications (LIPE), and annual VAT return
• Provide data for monthly tax and contribution payments
• Submit Intrastat reports and tourist tax declarations (Municipality of Milan, Court of Auditors, Revenue Agency)
• Support the preparation of corporate income tax filings and related obligations
• Issue tax certifications for freelance contractors and manage SIAE obligations
• Provide accounting and VAT support to operational departments (e.g., proper account codes, VAT regimes)
• Liaise with external tax advisors, auditors, and Group entities
• Input supplier payments into home banking systems for approval
• Troubleshoot accounting software issues via helpdesk or test environments

Skills:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in structured environments or the hospitality sector
• Solid knowledge of Italian GAAP and VAT regulations
• Strong familiarity with e-invoicing and the SDI system
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
• Ability to work independently, with attention to detail and deadline orientation
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Language Requirements:

• Fluency in Italian is essential; strong English skills are also required
