Job Title: Warehouse Coordinator

Employment Type: Full Time, Exempt

Work Location: Central Islip / Hauppauge, NY

Work Hours: General: 8:30AM – 5:00PM (may vary based on business needs)

Salary Range: $66,300-86,000


The Warehouse Coordinator position reports to a Warehouse Supervisor. The job duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Plans, schedules and manages the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production.

  • Uses Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems (like SAP) to support in material planning and material transportation.

  • Provides support to the material planning and control functions.

  • Prepares and monitors material requisitions and material schedules with production schedules.

  • Maintains engineering (or operations, quality, etc.) specifications and production schedules and plans material movement within purchasing, warehouse, and production.

  • Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and/or receiving duties which may require the use of hand trucks, forklifts, and other devices, as well as computers to maintain data.

  • Follows shipping practices and procedures, transportation routing, schedules and requirements.

  • Receives incoming materials or prepares material for shipment.

  • Un/packs or un/wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc.

  • Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications.

  • Logs of receipt of items on systems, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents.

  • Reports materials shipped and bills of lading, and posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations.

  • Maintain shipping, receiving, staging, kitting, and storage areas that are compliant, efficient, effective, and safe.

  • Drive collaboration across the company and external partners.

  • Operator training and development.

  • Ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory SOP and cGMP guideline

  • Owns inventory accuracy. Leads cycle count process and corrective action efforts

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be capable of lifting up to 35 pounds on an occasional basis.

  • Must be capable of operating machinery and powering tools.

  • Often it requires bending and twisting.

  • Standing for prolonged periods of time.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.

  • Must have 2 years of progressively increasing warehouse clerical experience in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing/warehouse environment.

Technical Knowledge and Computer Systems Skills:

  • Experience using SAP business system and application is a plus

  • Must be proficient in computer skills and software applications such as Microsoft Office tools.

  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

About the Salary/ Pay Range

The salary range mentioned above is an anticipated base salary range for this position. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for benefits and participation in a bonus program based on performance and company results.

Salary : $66,300 - $86,000
