What we need...
The EMR Remote Lead serves as a key member of the EMR Remote team. The EMR Remote Lead will be responsible for all aspects of activities related to preparation and execution of EMR Remote chart retrievals, including, communication, retrieval tracking, creating pull lists, setting up the scheduling, and ensuring compliance on all EMR retrievals. In addition, this position may also assist leadership with planning, developing, implementing departmental or regional projects, as well as, assist with processing Release of Information (ROI), specifically medical record requests. The EMR Remote Lead must safeguard and protect the patient's right to privacy by ensuring that only authorized individuals have access to the patient's medical information and that all releases of information are in compliance with the request, authorization, company policy and HIPAA regulations.
This is a remote role
- Comfortable working in a high-volume production environment.
- Processing medical record requests
- Documenting information in multiple platforms using two computer monitors.
- Proficient in Microsoft office (including Word and Excel)
- Assist leadership with all matters regarding set up of Remote EMR retrieval with the provider site
- Manage and perform all aspects of assigned chart retrieval, including acquiring provider EMR info, assisting with the EMR logins acquisition, monitoring retrieval status, and overall success
- Assist with all activities related to training of associates on new/existing Provider Site's EMR systems and provide at the elbow support for team members
- Update outreach information and status within CIOX system and other databases and trackers
- Build and maintain strong relationships amongst their assigned providers
- Assist leadership with assigning member pull lists/provider packages for the Sr/EMR Remote Processors to start pulling records
- Relay technical issues related to EMR Remote retrievals to internal IT teams, ensuring timely communication with provider office/provider IT to resolve issues
- Perform test uploads from sites to ensure that charts will pass CIOX/Clients' QA standards
- Research CNA and QA reject for provider site
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Experience in a healthcare environment or office setting is preferred
- 2-year EMR related experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge, experience and/or training in accurate data entry, office equipment and procedures required.
- Ability to present to small groups and work effectively with co-workers in a constructive and positive manner
