▶︎ Position Overview:
The Field Service Technician will provide on-site maintenance, repair, technical support, and installation for machinery, primarily precision machinery (e.g., Machining Center), used in automotive manufacturing. The technician will ensure that the machinery operates efficiently, minimizing downtime and ensuring that clients' production processes run smoothly.
▶︎ What will you do:
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on production equipment, including breakdowns, inspections, adjustments, and part replacements
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and specialized knowledge
• Serve as the primary point of contact with clients during on-site visits, communicating service activities and recommendations
• Complete service reports, documenting work performed, parts used, and any relevant details
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols during all tasks
▶︎ Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Experience in a similar field service or maintenance role, preferably in automotive manufacturing or machinery industries
• Languages: English, Japanese - Japanese bilingual and experience working at a Japanese company (in the US) are preferred.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems in production machinery
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills under pressure
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build and maintain positive client relationships
• Willingness to travel to client sites as needed
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and move equipment
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint)
