About the Role
We’re hiring a Shipping & Logistics Assistant for a growing company that develops and manufactures medical simulation products used by physicians and medical device companies for procedural training.
This is a hands-on position supporting the day-to-day shipping, packing, and inventory process. You’ll help prepare outgoing orders, inspect equipment before shipment, create shipping labels and documentation, and keep the inventory area organized.
We’re looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working at a steady pace, and able to follow established shipping and inventory procedures.
What You’ll Do
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Clean, inspect, and perform basic testing of equipment before packing and shipment.
- Create FedEx and UPS shipping labels and verify shipment information.
- Prepare and maintain required shipping documentation and records.
- Move completed packages to the loading dock for carrier pickup.
- Assist with inventory organization, stock checks, and inventory counts.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping and inventory area.
- Help identify missing, damaged, or incorrect items before orders are shipped.
- Follow established packing, shipping, inventory, and quality procedures.
- Work closely with the Logistics Manager to meet daily shipping deadlines and priorities.
- Help maintain normal logistics workflow when the Logistics Manager is unavailable.
- Assist with other shipping, inventory, and warehouse-related tasks as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, logistics, fulfillment, inventory, or a similar hands-on environment is preferred.
- Experience picking, packing, labeling, or preparing products for shipment is helpful.
- Comfortable using a computer for basic tasks such as creating shipping labels, updating records, and checking order information.
- FedEx, UPS, or other shipping-system experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately while meeting deadlines.
- Dependable and comfortable working independently when necessary.
- Ability to follow established instructions and ask questions when something is unclear.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Comfortable performing hands-on packing, loading, cleaning, and inventory tasks.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Bolton, Massachusetts.
Helpful Experience
Experience in any of the following is a plus:
- FedEx or UPS shipping systems
- Shipping and receiving
- Picking and packing
- Inventory control or cycle counting
- Warehouse operations
- Order fulfillment
- Equipment inspection or basic testing
- Shipping documentation
- Medical device, manufacturing, or regulated environments
