We are seeking a strategic Senior IT Manager for Science & Innovation (R&D) to lead the digital capabilities and technology roadmap that enable our labs, R&D teams, and innovation programs worldwide.
This role exists to accelerate innovation — improving speed-to-insight, enhancing data integrity, modernising scientific platforms, and unlocking new capability through technology.
This is a business partnering and roadmap-shaping role, not simply programme delivery.
What you will lead
- Create and execute the technology roadmap for LIMS, ELN, PLM, Knowledge Management and digital lab systems
- Partner with scientific leadership to align technology with innovation targets and business outcomes
- Drive lab digital transformation and scientific data enablement
- Lead internal teams and external partners to deliver scalable, future-ready solutions
- Ensure operational stability, compliance, security, and GxP-appropriate controls
- Influence investment decisions and prioritisation of innovation-enabling technologies
- Scan and evaluate emerging tech — AI/ML, automation, scientific analytics
What you’ll bring
- 10 years of IT leadership experience supporting R&D/scientific environments
- Deep expertise with LIMS, ELN, PLM and scientific data systems
- Experience in regulated/global scientific organisations
- Ability to influence and partner with scientific, R&D and senior business leaders

- Leadership experience across internal teams and vendor ecosystems
