Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kennel Technician & Dog Daycare Handler to join our team. We are seeking a couple part time people with the possibility for full time for the right person! This role focuses on kennel care with the opportunity to grow, offering a dynamic and fulfilling opportunity for individuals passionate about animals.
**PLEASE NOTE-THIS IS NOT A SEASONAL POSITION! WE ARE LOOKING FOR LONG TERM TEAM MEMBERS!**
Key Responsibilities
Kennel Care & Dog Handling
- Provide compassionate care for all animals, ensuring their comfort, cleanliness, and safety.
- Clean and sanitize kennels, bedding, and feeding areas according to facility protocols.
- Feed and administer medications to animals as directed, ensuring accuracy and care.
- Monitor and document animal behavior, health, and well-being. Report any concerns promptly.
- Perform bathing services, including nail trims.
- Conduct multiple one to three-mile hikes.
- Comfortable supervising a group of dogs!
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort handling animals of all sizes and breeds
- Strong organizational skills
Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Available weekends and holidays.
