Player Development Training Director
Overview
The Player Development Training Director is responsible for the implementation of the Player Development Programs technical plan (supported by DoC) and the day-to-day soccer operations of the PDTs (supported by Director of Business Ops). The Director will be readily accessible, visible, and approachable for fostering open communication with staff, coaches, administrators, players & parents. The DPD reports to the Director of Business Operations (DBO).
Qualifications & Experience
- Leadership role within a youth soccer club
- Parent and coach education
- Hiring, mentoring, and supporting coaching staff
- Experience coaching and/or leading across variety of age groups, U8- U19
- 5 years of coaching experience
- USSF C License or equivalent
Profile
The DPD has a blend of technical and operational skills required to lead the staff and coaches in the execution of the daily tasks required to run a best-in-class technical training program. The Player Development Training Director is an effective communicator, delegates and monitors implementation of a wide-ranging set of tasks by a non-traditional workforce. The DPD is a team player, skilled problem solver, and engages in effective conflict resolution.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities
- Be visible, accessible and approachable to coaches, administrators, players, and parents.
- Drive the daily implementation of the club technical plan and parent educational plan within the PDT ecosystem.
- On board, observe, assess and mentor program staff providing formal, written feedback annually.
- Collaborate with the DBO to support the execution of all administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with Director of Member services for back-end support
- Create and assign schedules for all PDT programming
- Collaborate with Technical staff to implement effective schedules.
- Oversee/lead all Elite PDT sessions
- Represent the club at external functions and events as directed by club leadership.
- Hold regular meetings with staff and coaches to inform, inspire, influence, and monitor execution of all required tasks within the program.
