Company Description Cincinnati United Soccer Club (Cincinnati United SC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing developmentally-focused soccer training for youth of all ages in Cincinnati and surrounding communities. The club serves players from age 3 through competitive and elite levels, emphasizing growth for players, families, and staff through the sport. Cincinnati United SC strives for excellence, aims to ignite a lasting passion for soccer, and works collaboratively to bring out the best in each participant. Players aged 2 and older interested in select soccer receive higher levels of professional training and competition in community-based locations. The club is nationally recognized for player development and is considered the most competitive soccer organization in the tri-state area of Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky, and Southeast Indiana.

Role Description The First Flight Soccer Coach is a contract, on-site role at multiple locations around Cincinnati, focused on coaching youth players in introductory and developmental soccer programs. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and leading training sessions, teaching fundamental technical and tactical skills, and promoting age-appropriate physical and athletic development. The coach will create an engaging, inclusive, and positive training environment that emphasizes player enjoyment, confidence, and teamwork while reinforcing the club’s developmental philosophy. Additional responsibilities include communicating with families about schedules and player progress, collaborating with other coaches to align on curriculum and standards, and supporting player evaluations and program events as needed.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Soccer Coaching and Coaching skills, including experience working with youth players in developmental environments.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly to players and families.
• Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Soccer/Football principles, rules, and age-appropriate training methods.
• Candidates should possess Education-related skills, such as lesson planning, instructional techniques, and the ability to adapt teaching for different learning styles.
• Coaching certifications (e.g., USSF, United Soccer Coaches or equivalent) and prior experience in club or school-based soccer programs are highly beneficial.
• Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment, with strong organizational skills and reliability in managing sessions and schedules.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends as required by training and game schedules, and capacity to meet the physical demands of active on-field coaching.
