Role Summary
The Sales Director is responsible for building, coaching, and holding accountable a team of field sales reps who meet homeowners onsite and sell premium outdoor living solutions.
This person will own revenue performance, sales process execution, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Coaching
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of in-home sales representatives
- Conduct regular ride-alongs, call reviews, and performance coaching
- Build a culture of accountability, professionalism, and winning
- Recruit, onboard, and ramp new sales talent
Performance & Metrics
- Own team revenue targets and consistently deliver against goals
- Track and manage key metrics (close rate, average deal size, lead conversion, pipeline)
- Run weekly sales meetings focused on performance and skill development
- Identify gaps and implement improvement plans quickly
Sales Process Excellence
- Ensure consistent execution of the in-home sales process
- Refine scripts, presentations, and closing strategies
- Improve conversion rates through structured coaching and feedback
- Collaborate with ownership on pricing, offers, and sales strategy
Field Oversight
- Support reps in the field on high-value opportunities
- Ensure a premium customer experience from consultation to close
- Maintain high standards for professionalism, communication, and follow-up
Ideal Candidate
Experience
- 5 years in sales, with at least 2 years managing a sales team
- Proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets through a team
- Experience in in-home sales, construction, home services, or high-ticket B2C sales (strong asset)
