What are the responsibilities and job description for the Oral Surgery Dental Assistant position at Cincinnati Oral, Maxillofacial and Dental Implant Surgery?
We are seeking a motivated, compassionate and reliable Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to join our oral surgery team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced clinical setting and is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.
Our practice has 3 locations: Anderson, Madeira, and White Oak. There is 1 position available. The position requires travel to each location, but will primarily stay between 2 offices.
This position is typically 4 days per week, with occasional 5-day weeks. No nights or weekends.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Assist the surgeon during procedures
- Pass instruments and maintain sterile technique
- Perform sterilization and infection control procedures
- Monitor patients during recovery and provide post-op instructions
- Enter and review patient health information and EMR documentation
- Assist with treatment plan education
- Operate radiology equipment
- Support the team with clinical and administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Dental assisting experience required
- Oral surgery experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Ohio radiographer certification required
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Dependable, professional, and patient-centered
