Early Head Start Site Support 38 Wk

POSITION SUMMARY

To provide high services to Head Start children and families in compliance with local, state and federal regulations while exercising extreme caution and good judgment.     Duties are carried out in accordance with the Head Start Performance Standards, regulatory agencies, and CAA policies.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Under General Supervision:

1. Transport children and families on field trips, provide back-up support for classroom and/or kitchen activities as permitted, and inter-office mail.
2. Transport children for medical and dental exams.
3. Provide backup support and assist children with bus riding activities while boarding, riding and departing.
4. Provide backup assistance and support in the absence of front desk staff.
5. Assist the centers with receiving deliveries and set up of equipment and supplies.
6. Perform daily health and safety of classrooms and play grounds.
7. Provide with high quality service and confidentiality for the Head Start children and families.
8. Recruitment activities.
9. Actively participate in training, meetings, or conferences for professional growth and development.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.

 as necessary for the successful operation of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

The incumbent must have:

1. High School diploma or GED.
2. Three (3) years driving and customer service experience.
3. Valid C.D.L. with SP endorsement.
4. Pre-Service training certificates.
5. Experience driving various school bus vehicles.
6. Experience working with diverse populations including low to moderate income families.
7. Ability to clean, organize.
