About Cincinnati Eagles Football: We currently field a Junior High and a Senior High (Varsity) team consisting of homeschool, public, and private school athletes. Both teams abide by OHSAA football guidelines. The Varsity team additionally abides by the Great Lakes Christian Athletic Conference (GLCAC) and the National Homeschool Football Association (NHFA) guidelines.
Location: Eagles teams practice on a field located on the campus of Ross High School, 3601 Hamilton Cleves Rd, Hamilton, OH 45013
The boys’ varsity football head coach for the Cincinnati Eagles is responsible for setting the vision of a competitive athletic program and inspiring student-athletes to live out their Christian faith in competition and in life in ways that are consistent with the mission of the Eagles.
Job Summary
The Head Football Coach will provide strong Christian leadership and vision as he develops, coordinates, and manages athletes and assistant coaches, strength and conditioning, games, referees, and all things related to football competitions. He is responsible for working alongside the Eagles Board to grow and develop the football program.
Primary Responsibilities & Expectations
Football Operations:
- Demonstrated knowledge of fundamental skills and techniques as well as the advanced techniques needed for high level athletes
- Keep abreast of techniques/innovations by attending clinics and reading material
- Follow the coaches and player code of conduct so there will be consistency in dealing with athletes and coaches
- Construct and execute daily and weekly practice plans & schedules
- Be present at all practices and contests or have a designated coach in charge until all players have left the field or building
- Lead in the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and training of assistant coaches
- Assist the athletic director in scheduling contests
- Set up scouting procedures and schedules
- Exercise appropriate discipline with a redemptive goal
- Ensure the safety of athletes and notify parents of athlete(s), and the medical director when injuries occur
- Lead the annual Mini-Camp skills camps and ensure robust plans are developed that aid in the retention and recruitment of players
- Oversee the middle school team program and coaches within your program
Player/Parent/Board Communication:
- Communicate/discuss any potential discipline or suspension of an athlete with the athletic director and president prior to any decision being made
- Maintain appropriate confidentiality when handling student and family information
- Ability to communicate ideas & directives clearly & effectively orally and in writing
- Work cooperatively with the Eagles Board on events, travel and administration
- Work cooperatively with the board and parents to better the team
Professional Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Coaching experience preferred
- Effective communication skills

- Obtain/maintain all necessary Eagles coaching requirements & certifications
- Effective active-listening skills
Pay: $1.00 - $10,000.00 per year
