Division: Lower School Reports To: Head of Lower School
Position:
· Full-time faculty member
· 10-month contract (mid-Aug-early June)
· Salary commensurate with experience
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required (master’s preferred)
· Meets qualifications for licensure in Ohio
· Proven ability as an educational leader working with young children (minimum 3 years primary teaching experience preferred)
· Commitment to the school’s virtues, mission, and professional standards
· Clear understanding and evidence of high-quality teaching and learning, including the science of reading
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Comfort with technology and vision for appropriate and purposeful incorporation into the curriculum
· Willingness to be a visible and involved participant in and supporter of the school community
· Skill and comfort working collaboratively and productively with all constituencies within the school community
· Experience collaborating with colleagues around lesson development, classroom management, student assessment, differentiation, etc.
Strong candidates will have experience with:
· Evidence-based literacy instruction
· Deep understanding of the foundations of mathematics
