Role Description The Outside Sales Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in Cincinnati, OH, focused on growing and supporting customer accounts in the Cincinnati tri-state area. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and developing new business, conducting in-person sales presentations, and visiting commercial, residential, and industrial customers to understand their paint and coating needs. The role involves building and maintaining strong customer relationships, providing product recommendations and technical guidance, and ensuring timely follow-up on quotes, orders, and deliveries. The Outside Sales Representative will collaborate closely with the inside sales and operations teams, track sales activities, and meet or exceed revenue and profitability goals while representing Cincinnati Color Company professionally in the field.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Communication, with the ability to listen, educate, and provide solutions.
- Proven experience in Relationship Building and New Business Development, especially in a B2B or territory-based sales environment.
- Ability to create and deliver effective Sales Presentations tailored to commercial, residential, and industrial clients.
- Knowledge of paint, flooring, or related construction products is highly beneficial; willingness to learn product lines and technical specifications.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for regular customer visits within the tri-state area.
- Self-motivated, driven, organized, and able to manage a sales territory independently, including planning routes and prioritizing accounts.
- Comfort using basic digital tools (CRM software, email, mobile apps) to document activities and manage customer information.
- Previous outside sales or field representative experience preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required, additional education in business or marketing is a plus
