What You’ll Do
Support patient check‑in and registration
- Greet patients and families and help them through the registration process
- Enter and verify patient information accurately in hospital systems
- Assist with admissions, transfers, scheduling, discharge paperwork, and short stays
- Answer questions and help resolve concerns for patients, families, staff, and external partners
- Respond promptly to calls, alerts, and patient needs
- Help create a calm, organized, and welcoming environment — even during busy times
- Confirm patient identity to ensure the right care is provided to the right person
- Recognize special needs and follow safety or isolation precautions when required
- Stay aware of patient location and help manage traffic flow in busy areas
- Safeguard patient medical and financial information at all times
- Follow HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines and access only information needed for your role
- Help ensure information and documents are entered correctly to support billing, records, and compliance
- Work closely with clinical teams, admitting, and environmental services to keep patient flow running smoothly
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 years of work experience in a related job discipline
- Preferred: Healthcare experience including knowledge of Epic
- Preferred: Ability to work some weekends
