  • Expected Starting Pay Range $22.18 - $27.73
  • Starting pay is based on experience, skills, and equity; exceptions may apply for highly qualified candidates. Additional pay (e.g., shift, on‑call, or weekend differentials) and benefits may apply. Annual pay may vary based on FTE status.

Job Responsibilities

  • Program - Program & project management, implementation & execution as described in other Engagement roles. Scope of work is enterprise-wide. Demonstrates ability to implement projects successfully. Manages multiple projects simultaneously, works both independently and in a team environment, and works efficiently and creatively to meet deadlines. Data & analytics - Demonstrates problem solving and decision making skills as well as the ability to exercise sound judgment. Coordinates and facilitates development of family partners who engage in enterprise-wide boards and committees, councils, strategic planning, and strategic improvement efforts, specifically working with Chief Safety and Experience Officers. Provides orientation and consultation for other engagement specialists.
  • Patient and Family Partnership and Family Centered Care Education - Has knowledge of Family centered care and patient family engagement strategies and best practices. Provides effective education and advocacy for family engagement to all levels of the organization. Facilitates patient and family participation in trainee education house-wide (e.g., medical resident and fellow education). Provides logistical support and education to departments forming their own PFACs. Coordinates communication and collaboration among the PFACs to address broad-reaching improvement efforts. Shares expertise nationally and internationally through correspondence, phone calls, attendance/presentations at national conferences, and other related events.
  • Recognition Activities - partners with organizational leaders to highlight and recognize engagement efforts enterprise-wide. Demonstrates strong strategic connections across organizational priorities.
  • Tracking and data analytics - Participates in improving organizational performance through recommending areas or approaches for improvement activities, collecting data and providing input to multiple departments discussions and decisions. Documents engagement activities in a standard database. Reports to organizational leaders (Board of trustees, Serious Harm collaborative) at least quarterly. Leads effort to report annually on the work of engagement teams across the organization. Collaborates with engagement specialists from other organizations to compare data and outcomes.
  • Project management - Proficient in project management. Provides leadership and work direction to staff and other PF engagement specialist in the completion of multiple, complex projects with a variety of stakeholders for far reaching impact. Consults with leader for guidance.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 years of work experience in a related job discipline
  • Additional qualifications, since the position is housed in the clinical labs:
  • Candidate must be trained and proficient in phlebotomy.
  • Ability to perform venipuncture and specimen collection safely and accurately.
