Brief Description of Role & Responsibility: This position will have the opportunity to work on projects and tasks to help maintain and advance the artificial Intelligence and machine learning at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC). The individual will play a role in assuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of CCHMC’s artificial Intelligence and machine learning. An ideal candidate will be pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or similar field.
The program provides an opportunity for students to acquire artificial Intelligence and machine learning skills, gain real-world experience, and see emerging technologies as they are used in the field. Most of this work will be done in a remote setting, with some work done in the office.
Candidates will be exposed to many areas of artificial Intelligence and machine learning and gain an understanding of managing that work in a healthcare environment.

- Custom ML model development (Python, Scikit-learn, etc.)
- Azure Fabric (Delta) Lakehouse data analytics
- Epic Cognitive Computing models
- Model monitoring
- Exposure to HIPAA and its relationship with AI /ML
